....but the rear washer works fine. Minus 4c this morning here, but still I'd have expected the windscreen washers to be okay.

I have searched and read elsewhere that fuse S1 controls the heated jets - does anybody know if this fuse is common to front and rear jets?

Ben - silly questions first - they're an option, you've definitely got them? They only work with the ignition on. Do you need to wait for them to heat up? I have to ask because I don't think I've got them. Is there a light or a switch?

According to the handbook (3.2, p.94) it's fuse 39 in the r.h. fuse box. This fuse also gets involved with the aircon and seat heating. Any help?

Yes, thanks for your reply. I checked that fuse and found it okay. Next I pulled the washer nozzle thingy off the underneath of the bonnet trailing edge and could feel that it was indeed slightly warm. So I'm forced to conclude that I had my wash mix too weak and the heated nozzles are working fine.
