Couple of questions.

1, Wht didnt I get a result for each of the control modules it tried to scan? I guess I dont have all of them but 4 out of 18 seems low.

The dash has been playing up so will investigate the sensors shown but how can I get more info on the module 09 fault to pin it down?

Then, just for fun I went on the advanced settings to play...no idea what I was doing but went on the ABS test and it ran through a group of tests, told me to press brake pedal then made some noises ( from the ABS motor??? ) did this 4 times I think, 1 for each wheel and at the end said there was an error....the auto scan shown above says no error....

Finally, how do I get live readings of engine speed, temperature etc etc?
Will go and read the manual now I promise!

Clear the dash codes, run the engine and see what comes back. Live data is in measuring blocks 08.

Cleared the codes and ran the car. Tried VagCom again.

Dash is clear ( guessed it would be as it hasnt played up since...just waiting ) but still have the interior fault.

Where can I get detailed info as to what this sensor actually is? Have tried wiki and ross tech....
As its interior monitoring, would I be correct in guessing its a sensor for the alarm?

That is a fault with the interior motion sensors for the alarm, they are always going wrong.

Thanks for that. How many sensors are there and are they expensive and/or dealer only item?

Cheers and Merry Xmas.

There are two ultrasonic motion sensor packs, one on each "B" pillar and they are part number 7M3 959 121 and cost £96.03 each.

EEK! will see if I can find anything obvious first! I dont suppose I could replace with generic motion sensors? I guess they have all the control module stuff built in?

Never tried it, they are unreliable on the Golf as well.

Managed to check the alarm this morning...appears to be working with both sensors...mind you, the alarm horn sounds like someone has strangled a cat...a bit poor!

Will leave it all for now as it's an expensive time of year!

Thanks all.

Merry Xmas.
