See the threads in Golf Mk V and you will find a growing interest.

In fact they are for grown up people who perhaps have already been through the boy racer stage ;) and now need something to put the child seat in, or carry something more than a briefcase, and still want the benefits that the smaller Golf has to offer .

Well yes!!

I have one, got it for the wife, and she loves it. Its the Golf plus GT TDI, and its both fun and fast to drive. Perhaps I have not grown up yet, as my other car is a Honda S2000.

This is my first VW, and although I do like the car, I think VW as a company is the pits, both dealers and Head office at Milton Keynes.

I do hope the other Plus owners get involved with their own and very new forum.

yes I have had a 1.9TDi 105 for just over a year and it has been great. no real issues other than the cost of services at the local VW garage. £205 for a first service does not compare with other makes, much more expensive. good luck with yours if you get one.

Annual service for my Golf Plus GT TDI in France from VW dealer is €170, about £128!!

I think when my car is due for its first service, I will take a day trip to France and get my service done there. The saving would pay for the trip!!

my friend has a flat in spain and always waits till he is over to get his renault serviced as it is at least a third cheaper in a renault dealer there.. tyres are also much cheaper.
