Just wanted to know what peoples opinion on the VW Omanyt alloys?

There standard now i think on the new R32 and R36. I saw the 19 inch version on a Phaeton and they look awesome!!

I'm thinking of gettting the 18" as there on the Passat R36, but debating between those and the new RS4 alloys.

Whats your opinion guys:confused:

I like them - as 18s though....

God knows what it'll do to your ride though....

Im seen Omanyt alloys on the Phaeton and they look good. I was thinking of getting 19" but worried about rubbing etc. Not to mention they are costly!

Just today been and bought a set of 18x8 replica Omanyt's for mothers passat, with 225/40's, not seen them in proper daylight yet, but they look good to me.... i like the idea of original looking wheels, and these are just that imho.....
May post a pic sometime if i remember,.......

all we need now is the OE little spoiler for the rear tailgate....

imho, they look ok--ish, but can't help thinking that they would suffer a lot of kerb damage. just don't like alloys that protrude beyond the tyre.
many other people on the forum will probably dissagree with that, and they will have had more experience of alloys than i have, but to be honest, i think you could find better ones for the same pennies. don't mean to fall out with anyone,
just my humble opinion:(

I like the idea of the rear spoiler - so I'd like to see how that looks - plus how much it was fitted & painted...

James, i suspect that you have the new shape apssat.... mums is the very last of the old shape, B5.5..... we didn;t like the new ones, the spoiler is costing £275 painted and fitted.... which i think is silly cheap..... it should be fitted by the weekend... windows are being tinted on monday....... all i need to do then i persuade her to part with some more dosh and get it remapped..... it's a 130tdi..... goes well, but can be made better...:)

I will now apolagise for i have just realised that this thread is in the B^ category.... Sorry!!
