Tyres ???

My golf is running on 175/80x14,i have been offered a good deal on a set of new 195/70x14,
how far out will this knock my speedo and will it do any damage to g/box,diff or cv joints???
if this tyre is ok,will it give a larger gap between the tyre and the wheel arch,which may look daft?

You should be fine with this. The new tyres will be 5mm smaller in diameter the your current ones. The difference between a new tyre and one that needs replacing will be about 12mm in diameter.
