I am struggling to find drivers for the cheap ebay cable i have can anyone help

It is the usb version

The drivers should have been provided with the cable. Ask the supplier.

Sorry, can't help with that. I use a serial cable which doesn't need drivers. You might find that the usb drivers are specific to a particular cable manufacturer.

I have Vista and used the drivers that it automatically downloaded from the internet and it worked perfect. I was amazed:D

The drivers should have been provided with the cable. Ask the supplier.

Make sure you have VAG-COM 409-1 SOFTWARE

When you install you are asked to install the USB Driver

in the VAG-COM options set the cable to be Force DUMB Mode

and it works fine
