Window wont go down

15 months ago It cost me over £100 to get my window fixed as it just dropped.
Now it wont go down, you can hear the motor working but thats all.
On the forum it appears to be a plastic clip that breaks, now some members appear to be using a metal version which is obviously more substantial.
Can I get this metal clip from the standard VW dealership, have not phoned yet to check.

Yes, VW have made what they call a regulator repair kit. It contains evrything you should need, they basicly give you an identical regulator without the runners just the cables and pullies with all the bits that are plastic replaced with metal ones. I fitted mine myself but it took me all day and i actually broke the first one and had to get another one, I think they are less than 30quid as i remember but its not an easy task to do.
