Hi

I am new to the audi scene having been in to the VW's for many years and to loads of shows i am toying in buying a 1997 or there abouts cabriolet, can anyone advise me as to the best one to potentially look at as there are a variety of engine sizes. Also i was wondering if anyone has done any engine conversions on these..love the site ..
i drive at the moment a vw Gora...thats a bora with a golf front end, and i am also re-building a mk1 cabrio with an 2.0 :biglaugh:audi bottom end

Go a bit later for the facelift Golf 3/4 version and they only come in 2 litre. Engine conversions are possible on these and my favourite is the 2.9VR6 which was never available or you could do a 1.8T.

Ahh, when you said VW and Cabriolet... Anyway, I love the 5 cylinder but the 2.8V6 is a nice although troublesome engine. I would buy a 5 cylinder and convert it to 2.5.
