I know some people know some good exhaust systems to put on a golf. I got a 1996 vw golf can i have some ideas on exhaust systems.

you have a very good tuner right on your door step that is called http://www.bahnbrenner.com/contact/
if you contact them they will give you some wicked advice on stainless systems for your model car, headers the works ,free flow as dont forget the catalitic convertor this is a bug bear as not sure about US emmision laws but you may want a performance one or go cat back which kind of defeats the object of a posh exhaust.
a search engine would bring up hundreds of suppliers you could then go local to purchase the system they recommend
i suppose its then up to you how many bucks you have to spend if you are loaded why not have a custom fit exhaust made you can choose your look then
