Brushed aluminium centre console with wood trim? HELP?!?

Hello,

I'm still waiting for my Passat SEL. Now, when I ordered it, I was very clear that I couldn't stand metal look interior trim and so I was assured that when I ordered the beige seats, it would all be wood. Now, however, VW have changed their website and say that while the strip along the dash is wood, the centre console is brushed aluminium. This is even worse than all metal, as there will be at least four colours on the dash now.

This could be a complete deal-breaker for me, but if I were to go elsewhere, I would lose a huge amount on my trade-in because of how long I have been kept waiting. Anyone know what I should do? I'm not going to accept something I was assured would not happen.

Yup, they just said that it says wood on the order, so it must be right. So I called VWUK, who told me that the aluminium has been included since week 22, 2007. They are now looking into the possibility of retrofitting the wood, but should have called me today but haven't.
