I'm thinking of changing my exhaust - I've got a std 2.0 tdi SE and I'm thinking about looking into getting something with chrome tips (I'm very magpie-ish)

Any advice?

The photo not that good sorry:Blush: its a bit dark..the car is stinking dirty after a 220 mile trip to swindon...did a quick clean :Blush2: but check the diameter of your exhaust tip as mine are slightly smaller than the 2.0 140 bhp as mine is 1.9 tds 110bhp (well was after remapped:biglaugh:) it should fit fine as plenty gap between exsisting tips..that is why I had to get slightly longer bolt to secure...but for only £13.00 quid try it if you dont put it back on scambay;)

ps checkout these tips...

How did you manage to make the exhausts straight - as mine point slightly down.....

Mine also slightly point down..but because of the slightly large diameter of the tips they sit slightly upwards ... they do face very slighty downwards which dont show in photo ...In the usa they do a factory fit tips for the passat BUT at £65.00 plus postage..and look terrible as they face downwards more than standard..but like I said..£13.00 is all I payied inc postage:biglaugh: try it..but again just compair the inside diameter as advertised with your exhaust tip..
P.S it dont fit perfect as factory fit..but looks ok for me:D

If you want a new backbox, go for Miltek resonated - look like OEM and sound great, without being like chavvy dustbins!

They certainly look like an improvement. A couple of minutes with an angle grinder on the curves should ensure a good fit if they're tight.

Must do some measuring!

I got my tips a couple of days ago - They're only the wrong size **shakes head** - I'm going to give up on ebay as everything I get seems to be wrong!

(If anyone wants a pair of chrome tips that should fit a 1.9tdi, PM me and you can have them for what they cost me for postage)

Sorry james..:Blush2:I did say to check the inside dia..but still good value put them back on scam bay you might make a profit;)
how tight a fit are they..I have plenty of clearance..to be honest to much..had buy longer bolts to make them fit..have they sent you the correct tips it states internal size of 64mm and 67mm as slightly oval no pressed lines..the 2.0 diesel is slighty bigger than 1.9 but not that much..
have a look at these...

No worries - my own fault for not checking properly.

They are about the same diameter as my pipes already - they don't even go over the pipe. I might give them to my sister who has a 1.9tdi B6 Passat.
