Hi,

Im intrested in what resale value the eos has.

Has anyone sold one to a main dealer? What model and spec was it and how much did you get offered?

I dont see many private sales of the eos, anyone sold one private?

See plenty of second hand eos in gargaes but to be fair the deals are rubbish. roughly £2-3k of the list price for a year old car is rubbish, seeing as they lose that amount as soon as you drive it off the forecourt.

Glass's guide is the motor trade bible, Vauxhall give you a free valuation check without needing to enter any personal details.

Volkswagen dealers are not renowed for thier generosity of spirit when it comes to trade-ins so you will need to push them to increase on their first offer. Private sale prices are usually better than dealer trade-ins, you can expect typically £1-2k better, sometimes more depending upon model. As a rough guide, a private sale is worth midway between the dealer trade-in price and the dealer selling price on his forecourt.

Yeah but cars like the Eos don't lose that much as its a new model and a bit unique. You will never get a "good deal" selling a car back to a main dealer anyway. Selling privately is always a better bet.

With cars like the Eos, the spec of the car is what sells it more than anything else. Even the time of year can have an effect. It is after all a convertible even if it does have a metal roof!
