suspension bushes

When I recently bought a used fabia 1.9 turbo diesel with 60,000 on the clock the dealer told me he had changed the rubber bushes on the front suspension arms as they were prone to fail and that this was true of all skoda/vw/audis. Is it?

It's the SEAT CUPRA ones that are superior, and a fair price, but they are in demand, so you may be quicker going to an aftermarket brand.
