Please help!!! 2.4d question

hi forum,

my transporter 2,4d gearbox is whining in 3rd and 4th but not in 1st, 2nd or 5th. it looks like i will have to buy a gearbox in radiness for the day it goes!

I have been offered one that has the code CCY2309 - its off an older t4 2.4 (l reg i thing) but will it fit my 98 's' reg model? the engine code on mine is AJA.

Any help would be very appreciated as it is getting hard to find a box, let alone the right one!

Hi yes it will fit, but the gear ratio might not be the same,

cheers kenney, do you know if the differeent ratios will have a negative efffect of the performance?

Hi There is a possibilaty,may also affect your speedometer,have you the code of your own gearbox?and i can compare the ratios
