cambelt change on a 2.0 passat

does anyone know when the cambelt is due on my 2001 y reg 2.0 petrol passat, i can't find any info, it's done 57k but is getting on for over six years old

I reckon your car is about due.

FWIW, my friend has a 1.8T and VW have written him a letter stating that his cambelt is due at 60k or 6 years.

It is due. I think I was told 54k or 4 years.
