Hiya
Can anyone recommend an independent i can take my 9n Polo to to have the Anti-roll bar replaced, it also looks like i'll eventually have to have Bushes replaced too.
I got knocking coming from the front and squeeks and moans coming from all four corners of the car, i've got no idea what i'm looking for if i was to get under it.
I just know it's going to be an expensive fix ,and from what i've been reading there's no guarantee that it will cure it.
I'm in the Salford area.

Thanks

Awesome will be great no doubt, I`ve used a much more reasonble VW specialist in Ashton Under lyne...

Nathan is the owner, its a small garage and they really know their stuff.
Dont be put off by the size of it, they have saved me a fortune and I cant recomend them enough.

I make the trip from Bolton, its worth it!

I rang Awesome they wanted £250 just for labour
Then i rang the ******** where i got it from (G. Lawton m/cr)
suprisingly they quoted me £191 inc Vat, Labour and parts, couldn't believe it, so i've booked it in there.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.

I would never reccomend this garage. i took my fiancees lupo there for a major service and the next day, tappy engine and when she drove home from work oil light came on. luckily she called me straight away and parked the car.

When I got their and checked the oil it was almost bone dry. I had to put 2 litres of oil in (lupo's only take 3.6)! When I spoke to Nathan he said of its probably not a problem, (i didn't tell him that I had to put so much oil in to see if he was concerned about his customers) he just said to keep an eye on it.

I took it to him the next day and told him about the oil and he just apologised and said that its not the worst he's sent out, like it was a trivial matter. he told me some real horror stories.

He also said that it might have been the valve stems to lose that much oil??? even though it was his garage that just didn't fill it up. I now take my car to lodge motor sports who are not only cheaper but much more professional!

I'm not normally one to allow a garage (especially local ones) to be slated, but I fully agree with your remarks about Tameside VWAudi.

When I was experiencing issues with the Golf (I'd owned it for just over a week), I sent it into them for a fault scan and full diagnostics, requesting a written report and handing over my £50 accordingly.

When I arrived to collect the car, I was mortified to see a mechanic sat in the drivers seat, with no cover, fag in mouth, arm out of the window.

Why was he there? Because, at 5pm, when I'd been told to collect it, he was just beginning the procedure.

You can imagine how I reacted and was promptly informed to <insert expletive> his forecourt.

I would never recommend this company.

I am glad I have read the reports on this garage!!

I was going to take my Bora there for a cambelt and full service. I will cancel that now.
Is there any were else in Tameside or near by that is recommended?
