hi all. i have a mk3 gti 8v. now since day one of swapping my escort cabby for it i have been having problems with the matey. finally i get the car but cant drive it as i have no log book so cant tax it. i have been starting it now and then. then i had to replace the battery. it had problems with misfire cutting out and backfire, there was a buggered pipe so replaced a pipe on the idle valve thing. after waiting about 4 weeks for the log book it turns up today this morning i went to start it and it would turn over but not fire, i have put petrol in and stil nothing. just when i think i am mobile again the bloody thing wont start. PLEASE HELP as i am regretting doing the swap. thank you
