Key fob programming (lost memory)

Hi,

I have a key fob that's lost its memory for not using it for some time, before thet it was working ok.
I have also tried new battery in Key fob but no sucess
Could anybody please help me in reprogramming. I have VW polo 1.4 CL 1999 (V Reg)
