HI VWAUDI CREW

First post be nice .

I have the pleasure of owning an an A8 1998 2.8 V6. Auto Tip.
Very Nice car but no factory fitted cruise control.
I am think of converting it to LPG (with the current petrol prices:aargh4::mad:)and fitting cruise control.

Can you please advise if a qualified LPG installer should fit it into an Audi. i.e Do you know of any potential problems? He is giving me a two year warranty. I am just worried that someone fiddling with the engine might lead to problems in the future.

Thanks

Hello Pupster,
I have a 2001 S8, which I have had converted to LPG. The chap that converted mine over himself owns an S8 and did his to allay my concerns.
It took me 6 months to find someone I could trust and they ahve done a very good job. Not sure where you live, but their details are: http://www.hiltonautogas.co.uk.
They fitted a PRINS multi injection system to my car and I can not feel any difference between petrol and LPG.
Good luck!

Hi Pupster,
I did my conversion, A8 Sedan 2002, in London for £1800.
They 've done a brilliant job, warranty for 2 years and now at the second I have had no problems at all.
They offered various systems for different prices and I went for a middle range one and now I am complitelly satisfied as per consamption and power output.
They also recall me for the free of charge mini-service after 10,000 miles.
I found the site : http://lpg-car-conversion-london.com ..... and now I am :biglaugh: looking at the Petrol prices £1.10

hope this is helpfull
