Hi,
I have just acquired a set of In-Pro mk4 look headlamps for my Mk3 GTI and I have fitted them to the car and they are working fine.
Bought these used but in perfect condition. When the seller dispatched them to me he included a terminal jumper and he was good enough to also email me a picture of where it is fitted in the fuse box.
Here is a link to the picture:-

I do not have the terminal jumper that the seller provided fitted to my car at present; however as standard I have a similar object fitted horizontally obstructing where the picture would suggest the ‘new’ terminal jumper should be fitted vertically.
Few quick questions please:-
1./ The lights seem to work fine on low/high beam at present (they need a big adjustment but that will be taken care of soon at the garage) so do I need to fit the terminal jumper at all?.
2./ What does the terminal jumper do?
3./ Do I remove the OEM jumper in favour of the new one – it’s fitted in a slightly different way too (horizontal rather than vertical) but the fuse box won’t accept both jumpers?
Any feedback would be much appreciated as I really don’t want to burn out my fuse box or something.
Thanks,
David.
