Oil pressure light on now & then

Hi my friends got a L reg t4 1.9d and the oil light comes on now and then and stays on. Its been into the garage for new senders, any other suggestions. Drives fine.

Very often its the plug on the alternator or to be more specific the wires going to the plug .... when you switch the key on all the lights come on when you start the engine the oil light recieves a signal from the alternator to tell it the engine is running ... very often when this is an intermittant faukt it is one of the (i think) two wires not making the correct connection
(THATS MY INTERPRETATION ANYWAY I MAY ADD I KNOW NAFF ALL BUT HAD THIS PROB ON THREE 1.9TD T4'S)

However ... keep looking for more sinister problems and be vigilent

If the oil pressure is fine brige the sender wire to earth.If the light stays off renew the dash insert if it comes on check the wiring for short to posotive
