Where can i source some new through bolts for an alternator fitted to a 1.6 mk2 driver.
I cant remove the ones on the alternator i am doing a recon on so i have no option but to drill them.

If you can't source the right bols from a fastener supplier, buy some studding the right size, cut it to length and use a nut on each end.

now that is a rather good idea, will it hold? reckon the nuts could do with a bit of the old super glue?

I'd use a threadlock like Loctite rather than superglue.
Of course, you could try wallpaper paste or blutack...

Loctite's the one, drilling the bolts out is a cinch! a nice quality bit and it's like a hot knife through butter!
