Hi,
Just wondering whether anyone can give any useful tips on changing the driver's seat on my 2000 A6 (clearly I'm not the only person with back issues). Bought a Recaro Ergomed, courtesy of ebay, and awaiting the base frame from Recaro UK. Anyone got any hints to ease the exchange? Have'nt checked the wiring on existing electric (non-heated) seat, but Recaro has straighforward two leads for everything, heating and cooling (yes, really) included.
Many thanks,
Joe

Well thanks Gareth! I'll be enlisting help from friends. Have you done it before? Simple bolts and electrical lead, by any chance, or is life never that simple??
Cheers,
Joe

Not done a 2000 model before but i believe that model is four bolts in the runners and a harness for the seat belt thats it really.

if its like my 1996 it will have two runners and a central mount at the front which is easier as all you have to do is remove two plastic lugs at the back of the runners and a clip from the front and slide backwards. hope this is of some help.

Cheers Gareth. Sounds like even I'll be able to cope with that...
