I am currently looking for a estate tdi. I want to use it for towing a race car on a trailor that i will be doing maybe a dozen times a year. I dont want the 2.6 v6 as i want it to be as economical as possible for the rest of the time, So my options are 110bhp, pd115bhp or the 130bhp but on the budget i have i am going to struggle to get one. I have read that the 115 has about 60ft/llb more tourqe which would be good for towing but apparently not as good as the 110 on fuel. Then if i were to get it remapped which one would be the best to get done ?? Also Why does the audi A4 seem to do a lot more mpg than the passat when the audi is only a very small fraction lighter ?? Thanks for any replys.

Best one is the 130PD mate. I've remapped loads of these and they all go up to around 180hp and 300lb/ft torque.

The 110 is a non-PD I believe, so the 115 will be the best to go for. These go up to about 160hp and 80ish nm torque extra.

TBH, if you can hold out a bit longer and get a 130 this would be the best. Plus there are 2 different version of the 115 on has about 20lb/ft more.

Cheers, Mark

Cheers for the reply, But sorry to sound dim but what does the dp bit stand for ?? I phoned the main dealer today and asked him that question and now i think about it he never give me a straight answer but changed the subject so i forgot about it. What year did the 130bhp start i saw one on a 99 plate at the right price but i missed it:aargh4:.
