Yellow emulsification under oil cap

Hi new to forum first post,
Wife has a 2000 2.0l Beetle noticed some yellow gunk under the oil cap, spoke to VW they said these engines tend to do this hmmmmm, so i bought the oil and filter did oil change myself. Just been to check oil and there is really quiet alot of yellow gunk on the cap. Not loosing any water which was my first concern. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How much is the car used. Does it do lots of short journeys? Could well just be condensation especially if you are not losing coolant. Might just need a good run once a week in this kind of weather.

It will be condensation; they do this from use on lots of short journeys.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it does do lots of short journeys. Is the best thing just to give it a good run now and again and keep cleaning the cap?
