Oil use

Hi,
posted earlier today about my Alarm.

Is it normaol for my Passat to be using as much oil as it does?

The car had only 15000 miles on it when bought in February.
it now has 20000 miles.

In that time it has used about 2litres of Castrol GTX maganatec 10/40W

I have been told by VW that the engine is still "tight"

Lovely drive though.

Hi,
i bought my 2003 PD100 Passat with 8700 mls on the clock and it has never been topped up between 10000 mile services despite being checked weekly.
