Mk3 Golf door card removal

Can anyone tell me how to take these off. I just bought a 1996 GTI for my wife, 2 days in the window on the drivers side has come of the runners( I HOPE). I have unclipped the door card , but how do you take off the handle and switches in the arm rest???:aargh4:

on the pull of the handle you should see a black rubber band with dimples in it , prise that out ,,,,the black surround of the switches should now lift out, its on clips but a good pull will lift it off. you will now see 3 brass head screws holding the door card to the door.
