Vag-Com Readings done @ 90 degrees on a 1995 Golf driver 1.8i ADZ (Manual) 146K Miles on the clock, just had full service and throttle valve positioner (V60) with idling switch replaced
Tests 01~05
At Idle:
- Engine Speed: 775/800/825
- Coolant Temp: 86.4
- Lambda Factor: 1.098~1.120
- inj period: 1.56~1.71 ms
- Battery Voltage: 13.55 v
- Intake Air Temp: 20.7 ~22.5
- Engine load: 31.6~33.7
- throttle valve angle: 3.3
- ignition timing: 4~8
- Charcoal filter Solenoid: 9.4%
- mixture correction: 9.8%
With the Idle it rotates through 775~800~825 constantly (slight misfire maybe?), where I have given a reading like X~Y this means the reading constantly changes and X~Y is the range which it doesn't seem to go any higher or lower than.
Engine stopped/Ignition on:
- Engine Speed: 000
- Coolant Temp: 86.4
- Lambda Factor: 1.00
- inj period: 5.97 ms
- Battery Voltage: 12.22
- Intake Air Temp: 29.7
- Engine load: -----
- throttle valve angle: 4.7
- ignition timing: 6.0
- Charcoal filter Solenoid: 0
- mixture correction: 10.2%
Test 00
At Idle:
018 / 044 / 032 / 129 / 144~159 / 026 / 248 / 000~004 / 174 / 000
Engine stopped/Ignition on:
017 / R(57~246) / R(14~186) / 035~043 / 250 / 026 / 248 / 148 / 156 / 000
R=Range through throttle valve closed to fully open.
Fig 2 increases uniformly until throttle valve is 1/4 open, then remains the same.
Fig 3 increases uniformly over the entire range
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just wanted to see if anyone could look at these results and tell me if they are right or wrong, and if some are wrong what the cause might be.. Elsawin dosen't cover this much.
The only problems I'm noting with the car is poor fuel consumption (30MPG motorway/20MPG city) and what I feel is a lack of power/acceleration for a 1.8i 90BHP car.
