Hi Can Anybody Plaese Assist . I Have A 1997 A6 A/t Cab And When I Start Her There Is A Pulse On The Brakepedal , And When I Touch The Brake Pipes Neer The Abs Pump I Can Feel A Pulse In The Pipes .
Can Anybody Assist . There Are No Lights On On My Dash To Warn Me Where Thing Are Going Wrong . Wheen I Drive The Brake Pedal Is There But Not As Good As It Should Be

Sounds like one of the abs wheel sensors is going down. either due to air gap, dirt or age.

This causes the ECU unit to think the wheel is locking, and engages the abs

Easiest way to check is with VAG-com as you can watch the speed each sensor thinks each wheel is turning at. If you are going in a straight line they all should be virtually identical. If one is going down it will stand out a mile


Best place to look as the ABS unit going down is more money, but the fault codes will show this also
