Sounds like rubbish to me, what model Passat do you have?

The B5.5 lower grille is in three pieces;

3B0853677E ventilation grille center
3B0853665H covering left
3B0853666H covering right

3B0853665L covering / for models with fog lamps left
3B0853666L covering / for models with fog lamps right

The B5 lower grille is in two pieces

3B0853677B ventilation grille left
3B0853678B ventilation grille right

Do check the part numbers with the dealership first though.

I'm not sure which side the towing eye is on from memory, but you need one of the above.

It's the three part front and your dealership doesn't sound too bright. Had they made me buy a new bumper I'd have gone bananas!

Thinking about it, I may have those two pieces at home, I fitted front fogs and ordered new grilles. I'll have a look tonight and let you know. If you pay for the postage, I'll send them tomorrow ;)

Right, found the part, I'll find a box today and get it packaged up.

Could you PM me your name and address details please.

In an act of complete selflessness I want nothing at all for this. If you feel you absolutely have to pay something, please make a donation to Cancer Research UK.

Hehe, I often hit pheasants on my way to/from work, nasty things aren't they, and so stupid!

2000 is a B5 (as long as it has a two piece headlight assembly, no chrome and red rear lights)

If the joint has sprung I'd whip both grilles off to check there's no damage to the supports behind. If that's all ok you'll need one of the following part numbers

3B0853677B ventilation grille left
3B0853678B ventilation grille right

Again, check with your dealership to make sure. Sadly I don't have any of these knocking around at home :(
