How do you remove the bulb from the centre rotary button on the heating controls so that I can replace it on golf mark IV ???

have you already got the panel off? if so i just used some 6mm silicon airline tubing from my aquarium air pump, just slide it over the bulb and pull. bulb comes straight out, then just pop your new bulb in.
