Could someone tell me is it possible to get VAG COM to fold the wing mirrors in when you turn off the ignition so that they don't get clobbered by other vehicles?

No.. theres no motor to move them unless you get the option installed..

Theres an aftermarket kit about somewhere which i recall seeing..

I have got the electric folding mirrors, I ordered that option, it's just too easy to forget to turn the knob on the door to get them to fold back, it's just the Pug that I have just traded in automatically folded the wing mirrors back against the car when you locked it, so I was hoping to get the Golf to do the same or do it when I take the ignition key out.
