Hi, i've got a 1.6 cl mk3 golf, There are two issues with it, one is more annoying than the other, but its possible that both maybe due to one underlying problem. Basically, often when i attempt to start my car instead of the starter motor beginning to tick over, it doesn't, instead it simply makes a 'hum' sound asif its stuck....It will ALWAYS eventually start but it may be the 2nd, third, or fourth time i turn the key.
The other problem is that rarely (say every tenth time i use my car), the left indicator will blink double speed, although all bulbs are fine, and then shortly return to normal, and also when i switch my lights on occasionally the backlight for the middle panel in the center consol (the one with the fan speeds, fan positional settings and heater settings) will turn off and on randomely.
Basically I want the starting problem fixed most but is it the starter motor that is broken or is it an electrical problem thats causing all three of these problems?
