Audi A4 Cutting out

Hi I have a 1998 A4 1.8 petrol, it has developed a fault,it keeps cutting out when cold,after 5 mins it is fine but you have to keep the revs high to drive it intitially? I have been told this maybe the throttle body?

It could be that, but it should not really be strongly related to hot/cold.
You need a tool like VAG com to adjust that. also Check your distributor cap .
