Hello, this is my first post so i'd like to say hello to everyone here.

I have a A4 V6 30v 2000 model eng-code-(APR) and ive recently been having problems with my wipers not functioning correctly, so i spoke to my usual garage and they suggested i try a new wiper relay from audi.

Audi gave me an updated part which had one extra leg to it, i fitted it and this worked for a short period (2 days), then my abs light started to come on periodicaly, then my rear brake pad light started. (these problems are intermittent)

So i took it in to the garage (good garage although not main dealer) they hooked it up to their diagnostics and found no problem so they called the audi main dealer and took it there on my behalf.

Audi found no problems either with the diagnostics and had no idea what the problem was, then charged me £140 for the pleasure (of-coarse).

Now i spoke to my man at the garage and he seems to think that the ecu maybe on its way out,

Does anyone know or have any experience with a fault such as this? as replacing an ecu is going to be very expensive

Any advice would be greatfully recieved

Many Thanks

JodyV6

The company is called BBA Reman. http://www.bba-reman.com (http://www.bba-reman.com/) . They are a very good company and should be able to help you but often these units are un-reparable requiring a new VAG unit.
