Newbie needs help with Alloys

Hi

New to Audi ownership, have a 2012 Audi A4 B8.5 Avant technik tdi.

I have changed alloys to s line alloys(I think they are called et47) and they stick out further than the wheel arch.
I have looked at pictures on internet of other s line’s and they don’t look to stick out further than the arch.
what am I doing wrong and can it be sorted.

ET47 is quite a high offset making the wheel tuck in rather than poke , so all the more confusing.

Of course there is the issue of J width .

Best find out full specs of both wheels and tyres and see what the calculators make .

old wheel 7.5Jx17H2 ET45
new wheel 8.5Jx18H2ET29

I a assuming there is a 1 inch difference in width.
