Just spoke to local dealer who has confirmed that the A5 1.8 TFSi, which has just been put on sale, has been withdrawn for sales.

Reason seems to be, that deliveries were getting quoted as 18-22 weeks, then yesterday (6th Nov), dealers were told to not accept any more orders.

Not sure if due to fault or just over demand, does any one know any more?

Yup! :) Bigger engine producing slightly less power than whatever the other 2.0 engine is. I forget as I just got jealous I couldn't afford one! :p

I believe it's supposed to be more fuel economical as well. There's supposed to have been a lot of improvements to it. All sounds rather juicy! :biglaugh:

Wish I could remember where I read up on that now...

Unbelievable waiting list for them though! 5 months is a bit ridiculous. You'd think they'd learn by now! :P

i was told they are still in production...at least the price isn't a huge leap! Like £400 more...then again that could be towards £400 more on op extras...
