:1zhelp: Hi all, I have a '97 Golf which fires up instantly on cranking but dies after 1 second. If I rev press the loud pedal it revs slightly before it dies. I have checked the voltage on the stop solenoid, it stays at battery voltage. I also tried a spare ECU - same problem. When I turn on the ignition the dash shows 'code 1n02' briefly.

I should mention that the whole engine, loom, etc are at present suspended in my garage because I am hoping to transplant it into my T4 camper.

Is the immobiliser normally connected to the (vacuum operated) central locking?
Please can anyone help??
Thanks in advance, Alan

The immobiliser kicks in. Do you have the donor keys and ecu ?

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, we are using the donor ecu, ign switch and key. Is it possible to disable the immobiliser?
