Went to put the roof bars that have served me well on both my C6 and C7 Avants on the C8 for the first time. Found the rear feet fitted fine but the front one did not.

Seems that the rail in the roof is lower on the C8 than on the previous generations. Will try cutting the bottom off the foot to see if that works otherwise it looks like new feet are required. These are the Green Valley ones be interested to know if others are seeing the same issue with other brands

I've used Thule on my last three cars and for each one I've just had to buy the fitting kit (rubber pads) which are car-specific. The feet and bars have not needed to be changed.

Current car: 2019 Audi A6 Avant
Previous: 2016 Kia Sorento KX2 - I've got a 1500 kg caravan which this towed (and so should the A6)
Previous: 2014 Kia Carens - don't ask :D (we used to go camping with tents and I thought this would be big enough - the fact that I had it for 12 months answers that!).

For info, I buy from Roof racks, roof boxes, bike carriers, luggage bags (www.roofracks.co.uk) which have a great Thule/car matching service.

My point was that I was able to use the foot kit I bought for my C6 on the C7 without any issue, but they do not fit the C8 at the front. I could buy new feet for the C8 but Green Valley no longer seem available in the UK so I will need to replace the roof bars

OK. Might be worth considering Thule as you can always get the parts. Worth that bit more!
