Turbo lag

Seem to have excessive turbo lag on my 1.8T. I put my foot down and about 3 seconds later it kicks in.

I have done some digging around and and it seems that a possible solution is a replacement diverter valve.

Can anyone advise on this?

Hi

I had a remap and the lag has almost disappeared. As I came from a diesel that did not suffer any turbo lag it was a bit of a shock.

Since the remap I hardly notice the issue. I suspect that there is more that can be done to further improve the throttle response, but I am happy for now....
