Hi Folks,

Sorry if this has been posted in the wrong forum as i am new. If this is in the wrong place message me and i will happily move the thread.

I have a high miler 2013 Seat Toledo that all of a sudden blew off the top of the steering pump where the fluid is held. We put it back on with new fluid and nothing happened we then assumed it must be faulty and replaced it with one from the breakers (think it came off a skoda fabia) nothing happend. After plugging it into VCDS we then realised that there is no communication between the steering assist and the computer/car.

Been scratching our heads for a few weeks now if anyone knows what would have caused this and how i can pick up the new pump through the computer it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am guessing this is NOT a CAXA engine? Have you checked fuse 6 in the engine bay?Are there any other issues?

No other problems with the car apart from the steering assist. The fuses have checked no issues there.

You need to check the two power feeds to the pump.
