Battery replacement

Hi guys think I need a new battery in the A4 b8 sline avant and seen one at Halfords a yuasa silver but thinking about the coding is there a code on that battery I can put in vcds . Just don’t want to get a wrong battery and cause problems

If your car is less than 5 years old then the battery replacement should be down to Audi as I believe that batteries are covered under warranty for five years, I had to get mine replaced and it was 4 years old at the time. you might need to push the point with your local Audi dealer but they should agree and replace f.o.c.

Unfortunately mine is 8 years old so not sure they will replace it so been looking around think the best will be a varta silver is the better one for around £105 then I will fit it

Give it a go, you never know with Audi what the answer is going to be. you might save yourself alot of time and money.

After all I have just ordered a Bosch s5 100ah battery from euro car parts to stick in so it should fit it’s a little longer but that’s all got it there so I can pick it up and they had a50% off

If you have a membership card for costco that the best place for car batteries

I will look into that but I have reserved the Bosch s5 now pick up tomorrow for £125

Just need to know how to code it in I hope there is a Bem code on the battery

I bought a Bosch for my audi b6 tdi for £76 from Costco

I don’t have a card for Costco so Euro it is will pick it up today just hope it works ok with my car

It’s been done now battery in and working fine just changed one digit in the serial number now the battery meter is back up to 90% the old battery was staying on 10% and this started shutting down
So a nice new Bosch s5 installed
