Engine Management Light

Can anyone tell me how to reset the Engine management light without taking it to a VW garage please?
I have a 2008 Polo and it ran low on oil, the light came on so I topped up the oil and now the light won’t go out, all levels are fine and it drives fine.

So you have the yellow oil can showing? This should reset when you open the bonnet so does the bonnet open warning work?
