01 Wolfsburg 1.8t M/T PROBLEMS

This is my first time on here, idek if I’m in the right spot BUT, I bought my mk4 Wolfsburg 1.8t MT a few months back and now I’ve come to a weird spot. They probably lead to one big thing But In hours of google research I have found nothing that fits my case.
1st: (this is probably simple) coming from a stop, reverse jerks, and 1st as well. I was thinking motor or tranny mounts.
2nd and most important: I can shift fine first - 4th but when I put it in 5th it won’t engage or accelerate. It’s basically like it’s in neutral, and will act as so.
ANYONE KNOW THE CULPRIT?? Or is my trans just trash

It certainly sounds like the gearbox will have to come out and be stripped down for inspection and with the 02J box, failure of 5th gear is a common issue when used on a modified 1.8T, the 6 speed 02M box is stronger and a nice modification.
