Hi, just doing a bit of reasearch before buying a facelifted 2.0 ultra tdi. Can someone clear up what tax bracket the 2.0 ultra be with 20 inch wheels comes under? Some says £30 some says £120, someone else said was £30 but now £120?
Is the ride pretty harsh on the 20 inch? It looks so much better on 20s rather than 18s!!!
I currently drive a passat cc with active dampers sitting on 18s. I leave the dampers on comfort( softest), soaks up all the bumps which is what I prefer.

The road tax as you call it, is now called VED. You will have to ask the garage or private buyer when it was first registered (VED changed from 1st April 2017) and the size of the engine with CO2 figures from the V5c log book.

The car you are referring to is a C7, this forum is for the C8 (just released). As already mentioned the only sure answer is to look at V5, but in principal 2.0 Ultra (non quattro) with 20" wheels emits 124g CO2 in manual and 121 in Auto. That would put it into £120 tax rate for the current year if it was registered before 31st March 2017. If after then it would be £165 in the first year and then £140 after that, unless the List Price including all options and delivery was over £40,000 in which case it would £450 per annum.
