Remote Central Locking

How do you go about obtaining a new remote central locking fob for a 1996 Mk3 Golf. Who would I contact about this and what sort of prices are we looking at.

You'd have to contact the alarm manurfacturer to obtain one as the remote fob would be part of an aftermarket system.

Look under the bonnet and locate the alarm sounder unit, there should be a sticker on it, hopefully with the manurfacturer and model number.

Hi Alex,
I have a 96 VR6 and alarm was fitted by dealer in 97. They fitted a CONLOG Logic 900 which I believe was the official unit at that time. I have heard that one or two people have found new and used remote fobs, but don't know how to code them to the alarm. One guy bought a complete system just to get the fobs! I don't have full instructions, only user leaflet. See also my new thread on this topic
