B5.5 130 pd auto gearbox

Hi guys anyone know what could be wrong with my Passat it’s started not wanting to select reverse this morning then would just drop in . But this even when I went to select reverse it would just drop in but any revs it wouldn’t move . Any ideas would be great

check the gearbox oil level for a start.

Thanks guys having oil checked as we speak it’s with my mechanic will let you know I do hope it’s just that and it will be fine again . I have read it’s normally reverse that goes with oil level low
