View Full Version : Does Audi think I'm a bad driver?

I seem to be triggering pre-sense alarms with increasing regularity - I've only had one that I thought was genuine (travelling at motorway speeds and traffic suddenly slowed to a crawl). Recently it slammed on the brakes when I was in the middle lane and it thought a lorry on the inside lane was going to pull out (it didn't) - I'm like "***?" - it's a good job there wasn't someone behind me at the time! Whose fault would it have been if I got rear-ended?

So now it's got me thinking, do all these alarms get stored and downloaded during the service, or worse, sent to Audi in real-time via the car's SIM?

What would happen if this info got sent to the insurance companies? Would I find my premiums going up because I'm triggering so many alarms?

Maybe I really am a sh!t driver as far as Audi are concerned but I have an unblemished insurance record - I don't like being "judged" by this car.

Set Presense in the MMI to "Late" and see if that improves things (under Driver Assist)
