How to check A3 convertible if it's solia good car to buy

Hi will be viewing a3 convertible 1.9 TDI 58 reg to buy .first convertible ever I will own hopefully .I don't know what common fault / prob they have which I have to check when viewing it.i know I'll be checking the boot for water in case of roof fault .
Any advice welcomed
