Do you mean it has rough idle when cold, but ok when hot?

when it get s going it revs to 1500 or over 1000 rpm and stays at that

i get the same sometimes, but rarely..... usually happens when i havent driven it for a while... got a pic of your vento? not many here with em

Which engine do you have, is it injection?

Have you had the distributor looked at? I had a similar sounding problem which was caused by a faulty distributor.
